WHAT TO BRING

The missionary portal contains detailed lists of necessary items to bring to the mission field. Additional things to bring that are specific to the florida fort lauderdale mission are listed below.

Passport

If you are traveling to the mission from a foreign country, keep your passport with you at all times. Do not put it in your suitcase. After arriving in Florida, give your passport, visa and immigration documents to the Mission President or the secretary. These documents will be kept securely in locked files.

Temple ClothinG

Missionaries should bring their own temple clothing. The Florida Fort Lauderdale Temple is a small temple and does not have laundry facilities to support offering rental clothing.

BEDDING

Please bring your own twin sheet set. The mission will provide mattress cover, pillow and blanket.

All missionaries should bring their own towels and wash cloth. After arriving to the field, missionaries are welcome to purchase their own bedspread. This should travel with the missionary thru each transfer. (we ask that whatever personal bedding that is purchased with the missionary/family funds not be left behind in an apartment they might have occupied. Instead, please plan to travel with the bedding to the next transer.)
