LETTERS & PACKAGES
Letters and packages may be sent to a missionary’s apartment or house. Please note that It is the missionary’s responsibility to inform family/FRIENDS of his or her address. just as a little fyi, if a package/letter is sent directly to a missionary’s apartment and it happens to arrive in the middle or transers, it is often times considerable time to get to the missionary it is intended for.
Mailing items to the mission office
Address packages with the missionary's full name
(Example: Elder john david smith)
It helps us to make sure the right package gets to the right missionary
as sometimes there are duplicate surnames.
Mission Office Address:
7951 SW 6th Street Suite 110
Plantation, FL 33324-3211
PLEASE DO NOT MAIL PACKAGES TO THE MISSION HOME WHERE THE MISSION PRESIDENT AND FAMILY RESIDE
When sending packages, please be aware of the risk of theft. from experience, this is quite common in south florida. Sending valuable items is discouraged. If packages are sent to the Mission Office, the office staff will hold them until interviews or Zone Conferences, which could result in a delay of several weeks.
If medications are being sent, please alert the Mission Office and special arrangements can be made. (Call 954-452-6960 or email 2012103@churchofjesuschrist.org)
As mentioned above, for practical reasons, please do not send mail or packages to the missionary apartments during the 10-12 days prior to each transfer. Sometimes they get lost at transfer time and do not make it to the intended recipient, or there is a considerable delay.
